PUBLIC HEARING: GREENE COUNTY BUDGET
Pursuant to NCGS 159-12, the Greene County Board of Commissioners will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the proposed 2013-2014 County Budget. The hearing will be held during the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 7:00 pm, in the Greene County Courtroom, Snow Hill, North Carolina.
The purpose of the PUBLIC HEARING is to solicit citizen participation and comments on the proposed budget.
The budget document may be reviewed in the Greene County Manager’s Office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm and at the Greene County Public Library, Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 9:00 pm and Friday and Saturday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm

On Flood Prevention Ordinance Updates For Greene County, Town of Hookerton, Town of Snow Hill And the Town of Walstonburg
Notice is hereby given that the Greene County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday March 4, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Greene County Courthouse to receive comments on the new Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance for Greene County. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider adoption of the plan.
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Hookerton Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday March 5,2013 at 7:00pm at the Town Hall to receive comments regarding the new Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance for Hookerton. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider adoption of the plan.
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Walstonburg Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday March 5,2013 at 7:30pm at the Town Hall to receive comments regarding the new Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance for Walstonburg. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider adoption of the plan.
Notice is hereby given that the Town of Snow Hill Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Monday March 11, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Town Hall to receive comments regarding the new Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance for Town of Snow Hill. Following the public hearing, the Board will consider adoption of the plan.

Snow Hill recognized as one of the nation's top tennis communities
The USTA announced on July 28, 2010 that is has officially awarded Snow Hill, N.C., an honorable mention and recognition as one of the nation’s Top 10 tennis communities following the USTA’s second consecutive search for the “Best Tennis Town” competition. As part of the honor, Snow Hill will receive $2,000 in tennis equipment for its community tennis programs.
