Greene County Regional Water System
The Public Works Department manages the Greene County Regional Water System. The water system contains:
- 3,700 customers
- 9 wells
- Three (3) 500,000 gallon elevated storage tanks.
- 312 miles of distribution lines.
Solid Waste Services
The Public Works Department provides solid waste and recycling services to county residents through the operation of six (6) convenience centers and a construction and demolition debris landfill. The convenience centers operate 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The landfill operates from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday.
