Child Services
Child Care Program:
The Child Care program ensures safe, quality, accessible and affordable daycare for children, by supporting the independence of families by enabling parents to secure and maintain employment and meet the basic needs of children.
Children's Services Programs:
The goals of the Children's Services Programs are to provide safe, stable and permanent homes for children. Children's Protective Services provides correction or prevention of abuse, neglect and dependency of children. Case Management provides families ways to stay intact and work with the agency to resolve issues of neglect and abuse. Foster Care offers substitute care for children separated from their families because of abuse or neglect. Foster Care Licensing handles the recruitment, training and supervision of foster homes to assure safe and secure temporary care for children. Adoption services are provided as a means to locate permanent, loving homes for children in need of care. General social work services are provided by the agency in the areas of Independent Living, Permanency Planning and information and referral services.
Child Support Program:
The Child Support program holds parents accountable for the financial responsibility of their children. This is achieved through a full range of services that includes locating absent parents, establishing paternity, establishing medical and financial support orders, and enforcing court-ordered support obligations.
