Payments are still processed through Official Payments as shown below, and convenience fees are the same throgh either method, but using Munis Self Services, you select the bill (with current amount due) online.  You no longer need to have the bill to make payments, and the current amount due (including interest for past-due bills) is provided.

Pay your Greene County Property & Vehicle Taxes Online or by Phone

A nominal convenience fee, based on the payment amount, is charged for use of this service. This fee is set and collected by Official Payments, the company offering the service, for the use of their service.  The fee does not come to Greene County.

Note: if you use Munis Self-Service and select the bill to be paid, it will take you to Official Payments directly without having to enter the information or go through the steps below.

Select "Make a Payment"

Select "Local Payment"

Enter Jurisdiction Code: 4339 or select State: "North Carolina" and Payment Entity: "Greene County"

Then select Payment Type: either "Property Tax" or "Vehicle Tax" as appropriate.

You will then be prompted for the amount to pay.

Once you've entered the amount to pay, it will calcluate the Convenience Fee for that payment amount and show the total charge. You must accept the terms and conditions before proceeding to the next screen and entering your credit card information.

After authorization of your payment, you will be given a confirmation number that you should keep for your records.
